Glamping

Hey, hey, hey, who’s coming glamping today?

This week we are taking you on a little adventure, to KY!  This glamping experience is brought to you by the PopupBNB.

I know most of you are thinking, glamping? Don’t you mean camping? Ohh no, I’m here to tell you all about the luxury of glamping and why you should book this as your next adventure. The PopupBNB puts all the glam in glamping.

A little back story about PopupBNB. Kelly and Andy started the company in 2017 and now travel all across the Midwest to bring the glamping experience to you! Depending where you are located they will offer a few different spots to setup. Kelly has some really great choices to select from. She is very knowledgeable about each location. We ended up going with Hidden Lake Farm located in Cynthia, KY. This location is about 1 hour south of Cincinnati and is the perfect getaway to relax and unplug.

Hidden Lake is a large 250+ acre farm with lots of different activities. You can go out on the lake and they have free kayaks and boats for you to take out and explore! PopupBNB has a check-in time of 4pm and a checkout time of 11am, but you are welcome to stay and explore the property and enjoy the pretty views of the lake. We arrived shortly after 4pm and PopupBNB did not disappoint!

They went above and beyond of what we expected! When we arrived the camp site was so magical! They had a beautiful table setup for us to dine at. The whole vibe was very whimsical.

Next to the table they had a movie screen setup for us to project our movies! I would strongly recommend adding on the movie projector to the setup. We decided to go with a couple of throw back movies! John Tucker Must Die and She’s the Man! You can’t go wrong with classics!  The week before you arrive Kelly will send you an email asking what movies or TV shows you would like to have downloaded. The movie projector has a 4 hours battery life so plan accordingly.

With the PopupBNB you can customize the experience to how you would like, there are a few extras I would recommend adding on for an extra special night.

One of those extras would be adding on the marshmallow kits before your arrival! We had the organic pumpkin flavored kit and they were delicious! Another item we would be adding on is the tent safe heater during the cooler nights to keep you nice and toasty.

Kelsey was the fire queen for the night and kept the fire going! It was so relaxing siting around the campfire with the twinkle lights in the background. You could hear the coyotes howling in the background.

The next morning we made a yummy breakfast consisting of bacon, fresh baked pastries and some mimosas by the fire! Kelsey almost caught the campsite on fire with a little mishap with the bacon and the propane tank. We then decided to cook the remainder of the items over the open fire getting that real camping feel. Once we were done with breakfast, cleanup was a breeze because PopupBNB takes care of breaking down the tent, movie screen and tables!
